Citizenship Application

To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, you must:

  • be a permanent resident
  • have lived in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years
  • have filed your taxes, if you need to
  • pass a test on your rights, responsibilities and knowledge of Canada
  • prove your language skills

PR Card Renewal

If you are a Permanent resident, you must have a valid permanent resident card (PR card) or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to return to Canada by plane, train, bus or boat from abroad or you may not be allowed to board. When you show your PR card to the authorities, it should be valid. If your card expires, you can apply for a new one.

US Visa

Passport Application

To apply for an adult passport, you must be 16 years of age or over. You, as parents can apply for your minor children. If you already have an adult passport, you may be able to renew it if it is nearing the end of validity period.
